![]() R2 attacks could use the same treatment, across the board, but to a far lesser extent on uncharged R2’s. ![]() Imo claws need a buff to their forward motion while attacking, so that they close distance while fighting, mostly for the first R1 attack, but somewhat for others as well. These are the main reasons I stopped using claws, they are frustrating to use when in tight quarters because they clash with a variety of surfaces in a seemingly inconsistent way that doesn’t effect other weapons, and sometimes the claws don’t hit at point blank. ![]() Flighting on slopes or areas with clutter can be horrible. This is very common against erdtree avatars in front, but it happens occasionally on other monsters too… similarly, it’s possible for claws to clash with the ground, interrupting the attack (happens on daggers as well, when 2-handed). The major issue with claws and fists is that you can miss certain enemies even while your model is colliding with the enemy. The only real thing claws have going for them is damage relative to weight, which is phenomenal… but the actual dps isn’t as high as most weapons powerstanced, and the move set isn’t reliable either imo. ![]() I don’t think the buffs were accurate on claws (they didn’t need damage imo), but I do think they need a buff… Any powerstanced weapon type other than axes/hammers/flails are just better in both damage and reach, and I would argue speed as well, indirectly. Certainly an underrated weapon type, but unused by many for good enough reason imo. ![]()
